Give

Support exists. For many, it's still out of reach.

1.5 million intercountry adoptees. Healing modalities with decades of proof behind them. The only thing between them: cost. Your gift closes that distance - one journey, one year of healing, one room full of community at a time.

What We Fund

Three grants. One lifelong story.

$2,500 grants

Origin Journeys

Birth-country travel, reunion trips, and heritage visits. One of the most transformative experiences an adoptee can have - and the one most often out of reach.

About Origin Journeys

$1,000 grants

Healing & Wholeness

Adoption-competent therapy, mental-health care, and identity support - with clinicians who understand adoption, so no one has to explain their own story from scratch.

About Healing & Wholeness

$500 grants

Growth & Learning

Adoptee conferences, trainings, and language and cultural programs. Community and connection, funded - because identity grows in rooms full of people who get it.

Other Ways to Give

Give the way that works for you.

Monthly giving

Recurring gifts are how we say yes to applications year-round instead of in bursts. $45/month funds a Growth & Learning grant each year; $230/month funds an Origin Journey each year. Cancel anytime — no lock-in.

Planned and tax-advantaged options

Some of the most meaningful gifts do double duty — supporting adoptees now, or for generations, while helping you save on taxes and plan your own future. A few paths people choose:

  • Donor-advised funds (DAFs) — recommend a grant to The Ties Foundation from your DAF.
  • Gifts of stock or other assets — often more tax-efficient than giving cash.
  • Planned giving & bequests — include the Foundation in your will or estate to leave a lasting legacy.
  • Employer matching — many employers double your gift.
  • Check, ACH, or wire — for larger or offline gifts; email us and we’ll send secure instructions.

These are decisions worth making slowly. We’re glad to have a gentle, no-pressure conversation — one grounded in our values — about the option that fits your life, your family, and the future you want to build. Reach Ian directly at ian@thetiesfoundation.org.

The Ties Foundation isn’t a tax or financial advisor — your own advisor can help you choose what’s best for your situation.
